Dots on Dots on Dots

happy monday kids! we have a party pooper on our hands today. ms. katie pieper did not do her fashion challenge on this lovely day of dots, which hereby results in a forfeit declaring myself victorious. i probs would have won anyway. nude flats- kohl's, polka dotted pants- old navy, belt- target, white v-neck- freeee, polka dot jean button up- rue21.

notice the above smile/laugh. my outlook for this week is positivity. for example, omg yes! i can't wait to get up at the crack of dawn to go to my 7:40 spanish class that i absolutely can't stand!! woo! reflecting upon the upcoming easter celebration, i realize how thankful i am that Jesus died on the cross for me. i am free from sin. i am free from those holding me back. i am free from stress. i am free. so why not be thankful for my freaking, incredible, bomb digg spanish class, right?

positively paige,

hi kids and people of all other ages who are reading this blog. i'm so fresh. i've got a new mind set. i figured out what kind of stuff i like to do and i'm gonna do it and not care what anybody else thinks of it. like an orange that's just been waiting to be peeled. i can't wait to be peeled. i'm being made into freshly squeezed orange juice. now. i'm so fresh. like i want to sit in a coffee shop with my fake glasses and read a book and sip on some coffee and feel cool. and you know what would go swell with that little dream world of mine? yeah, blogging.

Learning.

hi fellow blog readers. if i even have any left out there, that is. i realize i have been slightly mia, but that is due to the fact that it's summer time and i needed to be out there yoloing it up. but great news for you blog readers, (not so much for me), summer is coming to its end and you know what that means. duh duh duh. college. i think that is the scariest word known to the human language. so it's time to grow up... maybe.

as i have slightly, not really, just a little bit, grown up this summer, i have learned a multitude of things.

1.) just because you were someone or some way before, doesn't mean you have to be the same for the rest of your life. now i'm all about staying true to yourself, but college is a place for fresh starts. you don't have to change who you are on the inside, but you could do a little revamping to the outside. those of you who know me, are gonna find this totally shocking, but i am now a fashionista. so change something that could make you into a better person or better looking person, such as talking to God more, or exercising daily. that last one is not for me.

2.) some friends drift away, and some friends stay. you always think you're gonna have the same friends your whole life, but it's up to you to keep them there. if you want a friend to stay in your life, you need to make an effort to keep those friends a part of your little world. always remember, you're probably gonna make new friends in college. so make sure you at least keep some of your old friends or get some new ones so you'll have bridesmaids for your wedding.

3.) i learned to knit. not exactly inspirational like the last two points, but that was just too much seriousness. i kinda feel like i have grown up as much as i possibly could with this knitting experience because knitting is for grandmas. i am now a grandma, and therefore, very grown up. but i actually just wanted to learn to feed my new obsession for scarves. i'm gonna make that wondrous cowl knit sweater that your eyes are feasting on to the right, except mine will be a lovely chocolate brown.

so as you grow, make sure you are learning. whether it be about yourself, or an intense new hobby, such as knitting.

shout out to Jen Henker for instructing me to become a beast knitter, and shout out to all the other grandmas out there who are already beast knitters.

go yolo up the rest of the summer.

Get Your Priorities Straight

what up bloggers? summer is what's up. it's like summer is the AC in your car, and it's on full blast baby. gotcha with a summer pun there. when i think of summer, i think lazy, go with the flow, sleep in, party all day, party all night, say you wanna party? let's party alright. and that's exactly what i have been doing.  i sleep in until noon every day, and then stuff my face with toast and other goodies that make me gain massive amounts of weight. stop, hold it. i guess there is one problem with summer. weight gainage.

see, in high school i was very active in many intense sports and the even more intense, advanced physical education. shout out to Jarrod Holmgren who just loves pe. anyway, this activeness kept me in good enough shape to eat whatever i please. plus, the barf inducing school lunches kept me on a pretty strict diet of chicken during the day. but now, as i have grown up and moved away from these privilages, and continue to stuff my face, i have come to the realization that i am gaining weight as fast as a cat jumps out of a lake of dogs. because one, cats don't like dogs, and two, they don't like lakes.

this weight gainage is coming upon me because of two reasons,
1) my love of food is greater than my fear of becoming obese
2) my laziness syndrome trumphs my fear of becoming obese
therefore, my love of food and my laziness syndrome will continue to make my fattness grow, and frankly, i'm a little scared, but not scared enough.

i guess we will see what happens. see if i get any motivation this summer. i better start now because bethel's cafeteria is the bomb diggity. they have a saying up there, "instead of gaining the freshman 15, bethel students gain the freshman 45." uh oh.

so i guess the point of this blog is to get your priorities straight. today, food is number one on my list, and laziness is second. but who knows what tomorrow will hold..?

yolo.
